Leslie Woods, an Oregon native, lives in Fairview, Oregon with her daughter Courtney.

A moment caught in time, a fast focus vignette, the power of the action frozen forever . . . I enjoy the action and stories that are captured in sports photos, and the challenge to transport that feeling onto paper for others. My works are "one of a kind" originals, drawn from my own images.

This only starts to describe the subjects and stories captured in my art. Each image I create I first photograph during actual sporting events. From my material I then choose only a few that tell a story of athletes in motion, reflections of the game, or emotional peaks. Each piece is an original, one of a kind, work of art. I do not, unless specifically stated, make lithographs or prints of any of my artwork.

My understanding and passion for the nuances of the game shows in my finished pieces. I can zoom into a small part or pan out to catch the whole play that is happening.
